The African diaspora is a vast and diverse community that has spread across the globe, carrying with them a rich tapestry of history, culture, and faith. From the shores of Africa to the Americas, Europe, Asia, and beyond, the African diaspora has left a lasting impact on the world.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the African diaspora is its history. The journey of African people through the transatlantic slave trade, colonization, and migration has shaped the world we live in today. From the cultural contributions of African Americans in the United States to the struggles of Afro-Brazilians in South America, the history of the African diaspora is a story of resilience, creativity, and perseverance in the face of adversity. But what about before colonization? What about before the Ottoman Empire? Why were our ancestors specifically taken from off the West African coast of Guinea as opposed to other parts of the continent?

When it comes to culture, the African diaspora is a treasure trove of diversity. From the rhythms of Afro-Caribbean music to the vibrant colors of African textiles, the cultural heritage of the African diaspora is as diverse as the people who make up this global community. Celebrations like Carnival in Trinidad and Tobago, Juneteenth in the United States, and Kwanzaa in the African American community are just a few examples of the vultural traditions that have been preserved and passed down through generations. AryAL View takes you on a journey beyond this recent history. What was the culture before being scattered among the four courners of the earth?

Faith is another integral part of the African diaspora experience. From traditional African religions to Christianity, Islam, and other faith traditions, the spiritual beliefs of the African diaspora have played a central role in shaping communities and providing a sense of identity and belonging. The blending of African spiritual practices with Christianity and other religions has led to the development of unique syncretic faith traditions that are practiced by millions of people around the world. More than ever, we are able to find a deeper understanding of where they derived and why we have these faith practicies. With ancient insights, many have finally realized the common history that was kept hidden. The biblical narrative that is the history and culture of a people who had no sense of true roots, is now made clear and able to be understood. The challenge posed with such a major awakening is such powerful opposition to exposure. However, this oppressive power is not all powerful. Only One is. He is the Father of those who the world rejected, hated and held captive not just physically but mentally. So much so many refuse to even consider such truths to be possible! Many refuse to read, examine, study, humbly accept what is unquestionably most imperative to CORE beliefs. But scripture says my people persish for lack of knowledge. We do not know it all but when we know better we MUST do better. Join Aryal View as we delve deeper into gently unfolding TRUE legacies of the African diaspora.
